Mattel

UK’s Razzamataz Theatre Schools has teamed up with Mattel to bring the Monster High brand to an artistic development program running through until October. Aimed at kids ages six to 10, the program will be available in roughly 50 schools across the UK, featuring dance activities set to Monster High music and drama lessons. The partnership precedes the release of Monster High: The Movie 2 (pictured) on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ in October.

Banijay Kids & Family

London-based YouTube management company The Polar Bears has signed on to unlock new revenue streams for Banijay Kids & Family YouTube channels for series including Totally Spies! and Mister Maker

The Polar Bears develop commercial strategies in the digital space for prodcos and creators wanting to start monetizing their content. Banijay Kids & Family’s portfolio of content already generates 75 million monthly digital views worldwide, according to the company.

Dandelooo

Dandelooo’s The Treehouse Stories (77 x seven minutes) has landed on four-year-old streamer France Channel. Paris-based animation studio Caribara Production co-produces the live-action/2D-animated series for kids ages four to seven. Originally produced for Canal+, The Treehouse Stories centers around a group of friends who meet in a secret treetop hideaway to share their favorite book-based tales with each other. It has aired in more than 160 countries, and Chinese distributor Jetsen Huashi produced a regional adaptation in 2019. A fourth season has recently wrapped production and is airing now on Canal+.

Primeworks Studios

Malaysia’s Primeworks Studios has sold preschool series Alif & Sofia to Canadian SVOD platform Muslim Kids TV, which targets two- to 12-year-olds with a wide variety of videos, games and books. The streamer will offer the CG-animated series (in English) in the US, the UK, New Zealand, Canada and Australia starting next week. Primeworks co-produces the 14 x 20-minute series with Malaysia’s Blindspot Studios.

Alif & Sofia stars two curious siblings who learn about reading, math and science in their Islamic community. Malaysian free-to-air channels TV3 and TV9 acquired the series in 2019, and Disney+ Hotstar also picked it up for Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore in 2021.
