NBCUniversal’s International Networks and DTC division is launching its first-ever location-based entertainment activation next month in support of DreamWorks Channel in South Africa.

Johannesburg’s 1.4 million-square-foot Mall of Africa will host the DreamWorks Find the Fun experience for 10 days starting December 13. The attraction is free for mall guests, and designed for children of all ages.

Find the Fun will feature games and on-stage competitions inspired by iconic DreamWorks franchises including Trolls, How to Train Your Dragon and Captain Underpants. Kids can also participate in meet-and-greets and take photos with characters such as Puss In Boots, Po from Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar’s King Julien.

NBCU launched its 24-hour DreamWorks Channel eight years ago in Asia, and it started airing in Africa last year through a partnership with DStv. The linear net’s programming features CG-animated DreamWorks toons like The Boss Baby: Back in Business (2020), Dragons: Rescue Riders (2019) and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny (2018).
