A new mobile game based on Avatar: The Last Airbender (pictured) is in development at New York-based digital publisher Tilting Point.

Set to launch in 2024, the multiplayer title is set in the world of the fantasy series, which originally aired on Nick from 2005 to 2008. In the strategy game, players can interact, fight in battles, build cities, manage resources and, ultimately, prevent an evil spirit from taking over their world.

Licensing the IP from Paramount Consumer Products, Tilting Point is working on the project with AN Games, a Korean game developer it acquired last year.

Avatar: The Last Airbender follows a group of kids trying to restore harmony to their world by using powers based on the four elements: earth, wind, air and fire. The series preceded a 2010 live-action movie and a popular sequel toon called The Legend of Korra, which Nick aired from 2012 to 2014.

With numerous accolades (including five Annie Awards) and strong ratings on both linear and streaming, the Avatar franchise has grown to include extensions such as comic books, video games, podcasts and, most recently, a music album that drops in November.

And the world of Avatar just keeps getting bigger. Tilting Point’s new mobile game joins a raft of other projects in the works for the IP, including a 2024 live-action remake for Netflix and an animated big-screen trilogy that will see its first first feature premiere in 2025.
