Kids social media app Zigazoo has promoted former consumer products president Ashley Mady to head up social media app Zigazoo Kids.
Zigazoo is a New York-based company that operates two social media platforms for children. Zigazoo Kids for six- to 12-year-olds launched in 2020, followed by Zigazoo, which just rolled out at the end of March to serve tweens/teens.
In her new role as president of Zigazoo Kids, Mady will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, including growth and revenue generation. She started at Zigazoo last year as its first consumer products president, and was responsible for launching key partnerships with Amazon, The Mattel Children’s Foundation and Save the Children.
Before joining the company, Mady previously served as a VP of brand development at Basic Fun! and IT’SUGAR, and she also used to work as a brand manager at Jakks Pacific.
Zigazoo Kids is open to brand partnerships, and aims to be a fresh place where brand owners and creators can more easily engage with kids and monetize their content. Brands including Nickelodeon, Penguin Random House and the NBA have joined the platform to post vids, make challenges and pose questions to its roughly three million users.
