Alexandra RosenbergIndian animation studio Digitoonz Media & Entertainment has hired former Netflix manager and Disney coordinator Alexandra Rosenberg to head its newly created office in Glendale, California.

Rosenberg started work at Digitoonz this week as VP of production, reporting to CEO Vikas Kumar. In her new role, she’s responsible for expanding the service studio into animated and live-action original productions that target kids and families. She will also be engaging with international co-production partnerships and working with Digitoonz’s North American partners.

Rosenberg is seeking a variety of projects for development, including preschool series with clear play patterns, character-driven comedies for six- to 11-years, family-friendly feature films and adult-skewing series.

Digitoonz (Lucas the Spider, Santiago of the Seas) opened its California office on Wednesday and hired Rosenberg as part of its growth strategy to develop more original content and expand its footprint outside India, said Kumar in a release. The studio already has offices in New Delhi and Kolkata.

Prior to joining Digitoonz, Rosenberg (Zootopia, Moana) worked as production manager at Netflix. Before that, she was production supervisor of script and recording at Illumination Entertainment, and she worked for two years at Walt Disney Animation Studios as production coordinator for scripts and editorial.
