Random House Children’s Books has partnered with MGA Entertainment-owned toyco The Little Tikes Company to launch a portable projector that’s all about promoting early literacy.

The Little Tikes Story Dream Machine projector allows kids ages three to six to watch, listen and read bedtime stories. Each projector comes with three stories from Random House’s Little Golden Books collection (The Poky Little Puppy, Tawny Scrawny Lion, and The Saggy Baggy Elephant) and a Poky Little Puppy figurine, licensed from Universal Products & Experiences.

Eight additional story collections featuring popular characters such as Berenstain Bears and Big Shark, Little Shark are also available for purchase on Amazon and in Walmart and select retail stores across the US. Other collections, which include other character-based figures, will roll out at the beginning of October.

The Little Tikes Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of MGA Entertainment, which also owns brands like L.O.L Surprise, Rainbow High and Bratz. “We are always looking for impactful ways to expand our portfolio and know that bedtime solutions are what parents and grandparents want,” said Isaac Larian, MGA’s founder and CEO, in a release.

Recently, Random House’s kids imprint announced a collaboration with Seuss Studios to launch a new range of original books based on a collection of previously unpublished sketches and illustrations by Ted Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss).
