Julien Figue, deputy managing director for varying kids properties, is interested in pre-buys, co-development and co-production opportunities that adhere to Gulli’s values of humor, tolerance and open-mindedness.
“Comedy is the most unifying genre on our stations, but adventure and action also play a major role,” says Figue. “We ask only to be surprised.”
Overall Gulli is primarily targeting upper-preschool audiences and comedies for kids ages four to 10, but the broadcaster has very different focuses for its various blocks.
GulliGo spotlights action-adventure shows targeting boys, GulliGood is on the hunt for family-friendly cartoons and Russia’s Gulli Girl is in need of both animated and live-action series. Gulli AFRICA and Gulli Bill Arabi (Middle East and North Africa) are both looking for content from local creators.
TiJi, meanwhile, is searching for content for the three to seven set, while TiJi Russia is in the market for European or Russian preschool shows. Canal J continues to diversify with more live action and comedy.
