Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is restructuring its Global Brands, Franchises and Experiences (GBFE) division as president Pam Lifford (pictured left) steps down.

Lifford oversaw the management and development of franchise strategies for WBD brands, DC and themed entertainment. She joined Warner Bros. as president of consumer products in 2016, and before that held jobs at Disney and Quiksilver. Lifford is leaving the company in order to focus on her family.

WBD’s chief revenue and strategy officer, Bruce Campbell, announced yesterday that Robert Oberschelp (pictured right) will replace Lifford as head of global consumer products on November 27. Oberschelp is currently serving as GM of consumer products in North America and SVP of global franchise management. He has more than 30 years of experience in the licensing industry, including senior brand management stints at Disney and NBCUniversal.

Preston Kevin Lewis, SVP of Latin American consumer products and North American retail strategy, is gearing up to take on Obershchelp’s current responsibilities. He’ll report to Oberschelp following the restructure and will spearhead the strategic growth and development of WBD’s consumer products programs across the Americas.

Julian Moon is retiring in 2024 from his head of consumer products post in EMEA and APAC after 33 years with the company. He continues to report to Oberschelp during the transition and will work closely with the executive team to find his successor.

Campbell is also looking to hire a global head of franchise. This newly created position reports to him and oversees the development of WBD’s IP portfolio across film, TV and games.
