DreamWorks

Netflix has set a March 15 premiere date for a new animated preschool series called Team Zenko Go (pictured) from DreamWorks and Canada’s Mainframe Studios.

The show centers around four friends who help their fellow citizens by doing random and secret acts of kindness. No additional details were available at press time.

DreamWorks’ Jack Thomas (Dragons Rescue Riders) is the show’s executive producer and showrunner. Mainframe’s Michael Hefferon, Gregory Little and Kim Dent Wilder are attached as executive producers.

CBeebies

The BBC’s preschool channel is teaming up with London’s Dot To Dot Productions to revamp 20-year-old show Big Cook, Little Cook for a modern under-five audience.

CBeebies has ordered 50 x 19-minute live-action episodes, and the first five are set to launch on February 28. This comedy-driven educational series features two cooks—one lifesized, and one the size of a pepper pod—making recipes that kids can try at home. Each ep will feature an animated segment and shots of various real-life locations around the UK, such as factories and fields.

Dot To Dot founder Jo Killingley, a former teacher, is the new show’s creator and executive producer. The original Big Cook, Little Cook series was created by Adrian Hedley for BBC Television and aired in 2004. It ran for four seasons and generated a total of 100 episodes.

Mattel

The toymaker has inked a multi-year licensing deal with Paramount Consumer Products for Nickelodeon series Santiago of the Seas. Mattel is creating a toy line based on the IP that will be manufactured under its Fisher-Price brand. It’s set to include dolls, figures, playsets, vehicles, role-play items, plush and ride-ons, and is expected to launch worldwide later this year.

This new agreement builds on Mattel’s portfolio of existing licensing deals for Nickelodeon properties, including Blaze and the Monster Machines, JoJo Siwa and SpongeBob SquarePants.

9 Story Media Group

The Canadian production company and Karma’s World Entertainment (owned by rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) have teamed up with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to have the school’s students design a 50-piece streetwear collection based on CG-animated kids series Karma’s World.

This new children’s apparel line is pegged to launch later this year, featuring jumpsuits, jackets, sweatsuits, dresses, swimsuits and footwear.

Karma’s World is currently streaming on Netflix, with a second season about to drop on March 10.

TeamTo

The French studio is joining forces with Sunwoo Entertainment to bring its CG-animated series Mighty Mike to South Korea. Seoul-based Sunwoo will distribute the 78 x seven-minute show in the region across linear TV, SVOD, satellite and cable platforms.

Mighty Mike follows a plucky pug and his pet crew as they try to outwit the local raccoons and cozy up to the dog next door.

The series is already airing internationally on broadcasters including CITV (UK), Universal Kids (US), Cartoon Network and Boomerang (worldwide), France 3 (France), Super RTL (Germany) and Tencent (China).
