Toronto’s Spin Master has signed a North American licensing agreement with Disney to launch toys based on Disney Junior’s upcoming animated series, Firebuds.

The new toy line will include figures, vehicles and playsets, which will go on sale in the summer of 2023.

Disney’s animated comedy-adventure targets kids ages two to seven and will premiere on Disney Junior and Disney+ this fall. Created and executive-produced by Craig Gerber, the series follows a team of kids—who are all the children of first responders—as they work with their talking-car sidekicks to help their neighbors. Each episode includes two 11-minute stories.

This licensing deal is the latest addition to Spin Master’s growing licensing business. Last week, the Canadian toymaker teamed up with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) to turn PlayStation video games into toys. In addition, earlier this year, the company signed a multi-year agreement with LA’ s Skydance Animation, becoming the studio’s primary toy licensee. The first Skydance property to launch under the partnership will be Apple TV+ film Spellbound.
