Jetpack Distribution has hired former WildBrain sales manager Rebecca Lugo as its new head of global sales. 

Lugo will remain based in Toronto, Canada and focus on securing sales in the US, Canada, Latin America, France, Spain and Portugal for Jetpack’s beefy catalogue (1,650 half hours) of kids and family shows, including Outfit7’s Talking Tom and Friends and Beano Studios’ Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed!. Reporting to CEO Dominic Gardiner, she starts in her new role today and will spend this week at Annecy. 

Lugo previously worked in various sales positions at WildBrain for almost nine years, serving as sales manager of international distribution for the last four. During her tenure with the Canadian company, she put together key deals with buyers such as Amazon, Disney and Discovery for brands including Strawberry Shortcake and Teletubbies. 

Lugo replaces Sophie “Kido” Prigent, who left Jetpack in January to join UK animation house Studio Hari as head of sales.
