Sesame Workshop

Amazon Kids+ has picked up the six most recent seasons of Sesame Street (pictured, 48 to 53) to launch in the UK this October. Each 35 x 30-minute season features Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and other Sesame Streeters, as well as international celebs such as Ellie Goulding and Billie Eilish. The streamer has also acquired upcoming seasons 54 and 55, and will launch them in the UK in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

Magic Light Pictures

London’s Magic Light Pictures has appointed Bandai UK as the master toy partner for its CG-animated preschool series Pip and Posy (104 x seven minutes). And the toyco’s sister company Bandai Namco will develop plush, figures and playsets. Released in 2021, Pip and Posy is based on the same-name books by Axel Scheffler and features two best friends who spend their days playing in the neighborhood.

Cameo Kids

Personalized messaging platform Cameo Kids has added 2D-animated character Gracie from the popular sing-along YouTube channel Gracie’s Corner (2.4 million subscribers) to its website and app. On Cameo, kids can get personalized greetings from the character, complete with music. Since last year, several popular kids brands have joined Cameo, including Mattel’s Thomas & Friends and Guru Studio’s True and the Rainbow Kingdom.

United Smile

Zoonicorn’s master toy licensee, United Smile, has closed new licensing deals for the preschool IP with Chinese manufacturer Jay@Play (sleep products), California’s Big Events (inflatable balloons in North America and LatAm) and Florida-based audio prodco Storypod (audio stories and songs available in the US). Zoonicorn started as a line of clothing and plush toys in 2015, and then expanded to the screen in a 52 x seven-minute animated series on YouTube.
