In his first airport collaboration in Asia, SpongeBob SquarePants is set to star in a themed Christmas marketing campaign at Singapore’s Changi Airport this holiday season.

Starting tomorrow through January 5, visitors to the airport will be greeted by the world’s tallest SpongeBob giant pineapple structure that will spew bubbles and offer sleigh pedaling. A bouncy playground will also be on-site as well as six limited-edition plush toys of SpongeBob and friends. The marketing campaign will also include the ability for kids to send customized Christmas greeting cards on Changi Airport’s website and stand to win a set of SpongeBob toys.

As the most widely distributed property in Viacom history, SpongeBob is seen in more than 170 countries and has been translated in more than 35 languages.

The character has already been busy extending to new frontiers this fall, with acclaimed musician, producer and fashion designer Pharrell Williams incorporating SpongeBob into his successful ICECREAM skate/streetwear clothing line in September.
