Nickelodeon is channeling some holiday spirit into the launch of a new new pop/R&B girl group. Formed in collaboration with Roc Nation co-founder Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith and Jay Brown Productions, Good Newz Girls released its first EP today.

The holiday-themed album Winter Getaway is now available on all music streaming platforms and includes classic tracks like “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells,” as well as new songs “Holiday Gift” and “Winter Getaway.”

Featuring teen talents Mikaela Astel, Nayah Damasen (Monster High), Isabel Gonzalez and Baylee Morrison, Good Newz Girls also dropped its first music video for “Let it Snow” on Nickelodeon’s YouTube channel today. Another one for original song “Holiday Gift” will premiere on November 29 on the AwesomenessTV YouTube channel.

Nickelodeon has been focusing on musical personalities a lot lately, most recently partnering with pint-sized rapper Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High for an album and live-action series. In 2020, it also launched Young Dylan, a live-action series about a young aspiring hip hop star.
