The 22-minute animated one-off will stream exclusively on the platform this fall.

Dino content finds a way—onto NBCUniversal streamer Peacock, in this case.

The streamer has ordered a 22-minute animated special called LEGO Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling from co-producers Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and The LEGO Group that it will launch exclusively this fall.

While no plot details are available, the title indicates that the special will feature a family-friendly retelling of the 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park from Universal and Amblin. (The first-look poster, for instance, features a cheeky kid-appropriate variation of a famous line from the film.)

In 2015, hit film Jurassic World marked a return of the blockbuster franchise, which concluded last year with Jurassic World Dominion

During this revival, the franchise began to age down with several kid-friendly offerings, such as CG-animated Netflix toon Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, which ran for five seasons from 2020 to 2022.

The new Peacock special joins a roster of LEGO content based on the Jurassic IP, including miniseries and specials such as LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar and Lego Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit.

Vancouver-based studio Atomic Cartoons, which did service work on the previous LEGO content, also handled the animation for this new special.

Fresh content should give a retail boost to several LEGO product lines based on the IP, as well as 2015’s LEGO Jurassic World video game, which sold more than four million copies that year. The game features a playful, all-ages retelling of the first four movies in the series.
