Attracted to its social-emotional hook and co-viewing appeal, France TV Distribution has picked up 2D-animated series Moods from Paris-based Toon Factory.

The preschool series (52 x a seven minutes) was greenlit by France Télévisions last year and is set to deliver in 2025. It’s about a group of young animals representing different emotions who help each other process their feelings and build relationships.

Séverine Vuillaume (Audrey’s Refuge, Ollie & Moon) created the concept and is penning the scripts with her frequent writing partner Nathalie Reznikoff (The Chronicles of Zorro). Marie-Laure Pitschon Lautric (Bionic Max) will direct the series.

France TV Distribution plans to pitch the show at Annecy and is looking for international broadcasters and pre-sales.
