Cameo launches a dedicated kids service

Featuring a first partnership with Candle Media for Moonbug’s IPs, the new section offers paid personalized videos for kids from their favorite characters.

Personalized messaging platform Cameo has launched an exclusive kids section, offering products featuring popular Moonbug IPs as part of a new partnership with Candle Media. 

Cameo Kids is targeting kids ages one to seven with a variety of personalized video options for US$25. The new service comes to market with a suite of popular kids characters (including animated versions of Blippi and the kids from Cocomelon) primed to deliver personal birthday messages and more. Blippi, in human form, has been available on Cameo since 2019.

Also featured are the main characters from Mattel TV’s Thomas the Tank Engine and Guru Studio’s True and the Rainbow Kingdom, as well as an animated Santa Claus. The company noted in its release that it plans to add more characters and franchises to the service “on a rolling basis.” 

Since its launch in 2017, Cameo has carved out a niche offering with its personalized videos from celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Tony Hawk. Today, it has a roster of more than 50,000 personalities delivering messages starting at US$4. The platform and its talent share revenue from the sale of each video, with 25% going to Cameo.
