Florida-based toymaker Jazwares is teaming up with The Pokémon Company to launch a new collection of Squishmallow plush toys based on Pokémon characters such as Pikachu and Gengar.

The range will roll out this fall through the Pokémon website, after making a sneak-peek debut at San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC), running now through Sunday.

This is the latest licensing deal Jazwares has signed to expand its Squishmallows brand. Last year, the company partnered with licensees such as Bioworld, BigMouth and BBC International to add apparel, bedding and stationery to its catalogue of products. Squishmallows also has multiple line extensions, including Flip-A-Mallows, HugMees, Squish-Doos, Stackables and Squishville.

The Pokémon Company recently announced the development of a new unscripted series based on its best-selling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). And the company signed a streaming deal with Netflix in 2021 for the 23rd season of the Pokémon animated series.
