Swiss tech company Talenthouse has completed its acquisition of British prodco Coolabi Group.

Talenthouse operates a platform for professional creatives to showcase their work and collaborate with brands and agencies. According to a release, it has 18 million users.

Coolabi CEO Jeremy Banks and COO Tim Ricketts and Working Partners MD Chris Snowdon join the Talenthouse leadership team, which already includes CEO Clare McKeeve, founders Maya Bogle and Roman Scharf.

Talenthouse bought a 33% stake in Coolabi last year, and the two companies have already been working strategically to bridge their respective strengths—Talenthouse’s access to creators and Coolabi’s access to IPs—in spaces like gaming and the metaverse.

For its part, Talenthouse is looking to solidify its position in the creative economy by providing exclusive opportunities for the platform’s community of creators to produce assets for Coolabi’s brands.

Coolabi’s portfolio ranges from flagship series Clangers (pictured), which debuted on BBC1 in 1969, to more recent projects like CBBC’s Scream Street (78 x 11 minutes). And it owns the rights to more than 2,000 kids and YA book titles.

The studio has also been developing gaming apps like 2020’s Beast Quest and the Roblox game Warrior Cats, which launched in 2021. Under Talenthouse’s umbrella, it will be able to collaborate with the platform’s roster of creatives and reach new audiences.
