Apple TV+ is lining up a new live-action preschool series from actor Jack McBrayer (pictured) and 9 Story Media Group’s Angela Santomero that’s all about compassion and empathy.

Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show will be produced by 9 Story and its animation studio Brown Bag Films, along with New York-based Jax Media (Emily in Paris). It stars McBrayer (30 Rock), who solves problems with kindness, and will feature original music from Grammy-winning band OK Go. Hello, Jack! is set to premiere later this year.

McBrayer and Santomero, 9 Story’s chief creative officer, are co-creators and EPs on the project, with Guy Toubes (The Stinky & Dirty Show) showrunning and 9 Story’s Wendy Harris and Vince Commisso executive producing. Harvard lecturer Junlei Li will also offer insight on kindness and human connection as a consultant on the series.

Apple TV+ has teamed up with big-time change-makers including Malala Yousafzai and Jane Goodall on new kids content projects this year.
