London-based licensing agent WildBrain CPLG is expanding its operations in the APAC region with new offices in Singapore, Taipei and Seoul. The company is also planning to expand its existing office in Shanghai, which it will rename as WildBrain CPLG China.

Maarten Weck, EVP and managing director of WildBrain CPLG, will oversee the new outposts from the London HQ. The Shanghai office is run by Jianbo Wei, WildBrain CPLG’s managing director for China.

This expansion allows WildBrain to offer the licensors it represents access to additional markets, as well as building out its own IP portfolio with new regional brands and partners. According to a release, the company is specifically interested in expanding the presence of Strawberry Shortcake, In the Night Garden, Inspector Gadget and Teletubbies (pictured) in Singapore, Taipei and South Korea.

Next up, WildBrain is looking to fill a variety of new leadership, management, marketing and licensing positions in both China and the UK in order to support this regional expansion.
