EXCLUSIVE: French studio Les Armateurs is producing the CG-animated series for a 2024 delivery.

France TV Distribution has picked up a CG-animated series from Les Armateurs, based on the popular French IP T’choupi. The distributor is pitching the show at MIPCOM, which kicked off today in Cannes, France.

In the 52 x seven-minute preschool series T’choupi Loves Nature (T’choupi à  la campagne in French), a three-year-old penguin takes a vacation in the countryside with his family. It’s currently in production and will premiere on France TV sometime in 2024.

The show is based on Thierry Courtin’s work and characters, which appear in his T’choupi books series. The book series spans more than 200 titles released between 1997 and 2023 by French publisher Nathan Jeunesse.

Les Armateurs has produced several previous projects based on the publishing franchise—including animated movie T’choupi and Mimmo (1999) and series T’choupi Goes to School (2013)—which France TV Distribution also sells.
