Characters like Spider-Man, Captain America and Iron Man are increasing their licensing footprint thanks to a new Marvel Super Heroes-inspired shoe line from Stride Rite.
Under the multi-year licensing agreement, Stride Rite will design, develop, manufacture and distribute a children’s footwear collection inspired by a series of Marvel iconic characters. The collection includes athletics, sport and casual sandals. The initial products will hit US and Canadian stores by the 2011 holiday season, with additional collections rolling out in 2012.
Stride Rite will develop an integrated cross-channel marketing campaign to support the new line, which marks the latest move in Marvel’s expanding licensed footwear program.
